Daily Inspiration

Sometimes, we just need a daily dose of inspiration.  But the Bible is more than that to me.  It’s my basic instructions before leaving earth.  It’s my lifestyle, and lately, I just haven’t been showing enough.  Sometimes I get so caught up in the daily humor and fun we can have that I forget exactly where my foundations and roots really are.  And maybe I’m not alone.  This article isn’t about preaching and shoving my beliefs down anyone’s throat.  I’m not that kind of person or Christian.  But I felt moved and inspired to write this post for our readers today because maybe (just maybe), you’re going through your own difficult time.

I read another friend’s post on Google+ today.  I’m a fairly new user to Google+, but I never had a real reason to get on very much until here recently.  I was challenged by a website community that I had joined to become active on Google+, and I am so glad that I did!  I have met some incredible people, and I’ve made a friend or two along the way.  I truly believe if it weren’t for God and following him, I would have given up and I wouldn’t even be trying to write any post.
Today’s scripture truly inspired me which is why I’m posting it here on my blog.  It reads:

Psalm 97

King James Version (KJV)

1 The Lord reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.

2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.

3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.

4 His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.

5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

7 Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.

8 Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O Lord.

9 For thou, Lord, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.

10 Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

12 Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

The part that truly speaks to me is verse 3, “A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.”  It truly empowers me to think that I can actually do something in my live, especially with blogging.  And I wanted you, my readers, to have that today.  I wanted you to feel hope, love and empowered.

So here’s to today’s inspiration and writing.  Here’s to today’s new challenges and difficulties.  And here’s to our opportunity to make today (and everyday) better than before…God’s way.
